In pop culture it’s been suggested we shouldn’t wear white after Labor Day. However, I think it’s safe to say we can clearly abandon that fashion rule. This season the long-time summer favorite color has moved up a gear with designers in New York turning it into a star piece. White’s versatility has been a ruling favor in fashion. It can be seen as clinical and minimalist, soft and ethereal, or even crisp and businesslike. Designers such as Jasmine Chong, and Victoria Beckham have played with white at all lengths this season although it appears to be an important choice for longer length pieces. There’s also been a lot of textual interest with soft sheen, plissé, leather and crochet fabrics ensuring that this all white trend is being shown off as very far from basic.
