Freckles can be something that people either adore or despise. Growing up I never knew the difference. Not until someone asked me at an early age if I wanted to conceal them. The thought of trying to remove them was so outrageous to me. Beauty shouldn’t be judged objectively. It’s been said, “beauty is in the eye of the beholder” however, one of the most liberating things is realizing that the beholder is you.

そばかすをとても愛せる人もいれば、嫌ってしまう人もいますね。幼少の頃、そのそばかすを消したいか聞かれるまで、その違いがわかりませんでした。私にとって、そばかすを取ろうとする行為は絶対にありえません。美は客観的に判断されるべきではありません。「蓼食う虫も好き好き（美は見る人の目の中にある）」と言われますが、もっともその考えを解き放つことは、見る人はあなた自身であるということが悟れますね。
